John Mills honors town of Boston Emergency Squad

LOCAL HEROES Erie County Legislator John Mills (far right) honored the town of Boston Emergency Squad during a meeting held on July 25. The following members accepted a proclamation recognizing their recent efforts to save a small child that nearly drowned: Advanced EMT Joseph Wells, EMT Kathy Webber and EMT Ken Brown, godfather of the victim.
BOSTON Erie County Legislator John Mills recognized members of the town of Boston Emergency Squad for their continued efforts to protect the community. A proclamation highlighting their contributions to the town was presented to members during the July 25 Boston Town Board meeting.
I appreciate everything that you do for our community and wanted to personally thank you for your dedication and service. This is an outstanding group that is always prepared to respond to an emergency, Mills said.
He spoke about an incident that occurred on May 22, when a local toddler fell into a pool and nearly drowned. Thanks to the efforts of the emergency squad, especially EMT Ken Brown, First Aider Kevin Lewis, EMT Kathy Webber, Advanced EMT Joseph Wells and Paramedic Christopher Zemrac, the young girl was saved and has recovered fully, Mills said.
