Lazy Sunday arrives again. But this week it was full of studying for me. I had a big Organic Chemistry test coming up on Wednesday and with the semester winding down you have
to make sure you're prepared for finals. Monday we were back to work in the morning with our typical lift. Just another week, but this time we had our biggest rival in Fredonia coming to town Saturday night. All the vets know how much we h read more

Coming off one of our longest trips of the year and a disappointing loss to the #2 team in the country in Plattsburgh, an off day Sunday comes very welcomed. But it was back at it again Monday morning for our usual workouts. As a typical Monday goes at this time of year, we preceded practice with a short video review session of Saturday night's game. Monday was a light, fun practice. Everyone was working hard too so that's always a good sign when you know you have a big weekend ahead of you. We split up into two teams and played a bunch of small read more

As per usual, Sunday was a rest day for the Bengals. We go to work hard all week and take the much needed rest once Sunday rolls around. We are pretty much couch potatoes all Sunday, seemingly mesmerized by football. The Bills pulled out another victory to move to 5-1. But Monday comes fast and it's back to work again.
We were up before the sun Monday and hit the gym for an early work out at 7:30 a.m. A few g read more

It hasn’t exactly been smooth-sailing for the football team, as last week’s 45-28 loss at Montclair State dropped them to 0-6 on the season, while dating back to last season, marks their 12th consecutive defeat. Bad news – the water’s not looking any less choppy for this week’s opponent, Rowan, who has been one of the nation’s hottest offenses. Buffalo State drops fifth straight |
 |
There simply was no answer for the big play. That’s what it all boiled down to for Buffalo State, as they dropped their fifth straight, 45-25 to Kean University on Saturday to fall to 0-5/0-4. Kean’s wide receiver Durell Dukes was an absolute game breaker, as the Cougars effectively cruised past the Bengals, before a tame and mediocre crowd at Coyer Field on Saturday. The football team knew it had a difficult road ahead before the season opened. If there were odds on Division III football games, they’d have been heavy underdogs in each of the first four contests. Three out of their first four games were on the road, and as previously noted, the opponents weren’t exactly favorable. The team returns home this week to take on Kean University at Coyer Field on Saturday at noon. The Bengals are a week removed from their fourth straight loss, most recently being drubbed 35-14 by Cort read more

It’s been a bumpy ride for the Buffalo State football team, who fell to 0-3 last week after blowing a 14-0 at West Conn. Unfortunately, things don’t get much easier this week, as they travel to Cortland to take on the 3-0 Red Dragons, who are presently ranked 15th, according to D3Football.com.
The Bengals have run the ball extremely well in their first three contests, as their 206.7 yards per game rank first in the NJAC and 32nd out of the 235 Division III teams. The problem is however, tha read more

Bengals football team returns home after tough start to season |

For all the positive vibes swirling around the Buffalo State football team prior to the first contest, you would have to think there were some spirited conversations going on last week during halftime, when the Bengals held nationally-ranked St John Fisher to a lone field goal after the season’s first two quarters. No room for error as Bengals open at nationally ranked St. John Fisher |

There’s nothing quite like going from zero-to-60 in the blink of an eye. Thrill seekers and hotrod enthusiasts have long professed that notion. For the Buffalo State Bengals football team, they’re hoping to not be on the zero-end of an aggressively moving score this coming Saturday, when they face No. 13 ranked St. John Fisher. For the Bengals, who are coming off a 2-8 overall record in 2007, opening the season against a nationally-ranked powerhouse is probably not the most desirable way to help along the progression of thei read more
