“We’re a full-service in-house jewelry and watch repair,” owner Toni Traina said. “We do everything from costume jewelry to high-end.”

After more than 20 years in the collections business, Traina decided she wanted a career change. So she opened the business in the Walden Galleria Mall about five years ago. She moved to Eastern Hills this summer and business has remained steady.

“I really like the atmosphere here,” she said. “Eastern Hills Mall is revitalizing itself and I want to be a part of that.”

J&T offers free cleaning and inspection for all of your jewelry and watches. If it needs to be repaired, they can do it with staffers with experience as high as 27 years on hand.

Don’t want to be without your beautiful necklace for very long? You won’t have to worry about that. Most of the time, your item can be repaired while you shop around the mall.

That is, if you’re want to leave it behind. If you want to keep your expensive item where you can see it, you’re encouraged to watch while they work.

“People have these whopping engagement rings and you’re afraid something might happen to it or it might get switched,” Triana said. “We do everything right out in the open and you’re free to watch while we do the repairs. It’s important to have that trust factor.

“If you have a 3 carat diamond ring, you’re not going to leave that just anyplace.”

Traina does a lot of repair, but J&T’s Jewelry & Watch Repair offers much more. The store also does engravings and can also set stones or find charms and it does buy gold and also sells a little bit of jewelry and other gift items.

“If you want something, we can certainly order it for you,” Traina said.

J&T can help replace watch bands and watch crystals and also find a watch battery replacement, some of which come with a three-year warranty. Eyeglass frame repair is also available.

“If your glasses break, you might not have the $300 for a new pair,” she said. “Usually we can fix them for you.”
