Kick back, relax and find your match

Many people overlook the importance of spending a little extra time laying on a mattress before you purchase it from the store. If might be too hard or too soft, but you’ll never know for sure unless you kick off your shoes, lay back and relax.

Regional Manager of Discount Mattress, John Fiorella, knows just what it takes to meet each customers needs.

“You really have to kick back and lay down. If you’re a side sleeper, you have to lay on your side. You’re never going to know if you really like the mattress unless you use it for a while,” said Fiorella.

Initially launching the Discount Mattress chain in Indiana, Fiorella stated owners of the company wanted to bring a store to Cheektowaga, because of the interest Fiorella had in running the store locally.

“I’ve been working with one of the owners for years. They were talking about expanding and we decided this would be a great location,” said Fiorella.

With a showroom filled with quality, affordable merchandise, Discount Mattress offers a variety of name brand mattresses at a fraction of the cost. The showroom is stocked with brands like Englander, Simmons, Sealy and Stearns and Foster. With each brand offering different styles of mattress including pillow tops, gel, memory foam and many more.

“We have something to fit every ones comfort level,” said Fiorella. “People should come out and take some of these mattresses for a test drive. They are quality mattresses that we are selling for a very fair price.”

They offer same-day pick-up, and more importantly there is no credit check for financing. In addition, Discount Mattress offers lay-a-way. Each product sold at the store, located at 1625 Walden Ave, Cheektowaga, comes with a warranty and is made in the United States.

“Business is good, so we can wait a little longer than other stores for the financing to go through,” said Fiorella. “We don’t have a high overhead, so it’s easier for us to offer a no credit check to our customers. But, the customer still gets to take the product home with them that day.”

Fiorella noted the store has been profitable each month it has been at it’s new location. As a result, the company is looking to further it’s expansion and open a new location in the Tonawanda/Amherst area within the next few months.

“I think business has been going so well because we have great customer service,” said Fiorella. “I have been doing this for a while, we have a lot of experience and we know how to find customers the product they are looking for.”
