At Kissel Country Tin you could find an item for every occasion

Visit Kissel Country Tin to find the perfect gift for your loved ones this holiday season.
NORTH TONAWANDA - While teaching as an art teacher and often creating beautiful paintings on a tin canvas, Owner of Kissel Country Tin Diane Kissel decided to expand her interest of decorating by creating a place where she could share her interests with the community.

Having been in business in North Tonawanda for more than 50 years, Kissel’s decorated and classic taste is a reflection of the items sold at Kissel Country Tin.

“I have always had a love for decorating,” said Kissel. “My passion is decorating. I like to help the customers if they have decorating problems, too.”

Kissel opened her current shop, at 7296 Schultz Road, North Tonawanda, in 2000.

The location is well known to the public as the former Wheatfield Trading Post.

Upon arrival, customers are greeted with the warm feeling of garland draped upon the porch railings and an inviting country feeling as they open the front door.

“Our service is very personal. When our customers come in they are treated well. It’s a cozy and comfortable atmosphere,” said Kissel.

The holiday season brings with it a variety of choices for gift ideas that can be found at Kissel Country Tin. Some ideas include unique pieces of custom made, hand-crafted furniture; an array of home decor including table linen; framed artwork; collectibles; dried floral arrangements, such as handmade wreaths and bouquets; lamps; pottery; unusual paper products, including stationary; books; costume jewelry; candles and more.

“We have a wonderful selection of seasonal items - for any of the festive holidays,” said Kissel.

Kissel’s knowledge and selection of the home decor she offers to her customers, and her ability to help her customers choose the best place in their home that an item might fit, is a testament to her dedication to her customers.

Her artistic background and passion for what she does allows her to provide insightful ideas for her customers.

Kissel often enlists the assistance of close friends and family members to help get through those busy times at the store.

“We are very family oriented here,” said Kissel.

• In addition to a variety of home decor and collectible items, Kissel Country Tin houses the store Raveloe Fibers, located in the back of the store.

Raveloe Fibers provides supplies for knitting, spinning, weaving and felting. Instructions and classes are offered at the store as well.

Those interested in learning more about the classes may do so by visiting the store.
