Providing quality vision care to North Tonawanda residents for 35 years has brought joy to the lives of Mid City Optician owners for many years.

Brent Kroening, optician; Ross Folmsbee, optician; and Dr. Eric Czora, optomologist, have been in business together since 1997.

Initially running their business out of a store front in the Mid City Plaza, the eye care facility has gained much success since its move across the street to 968 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda.

“We have a good, strong patient base,” said Folmsbee. “We have a full service lab where we can process glasses, instead of just selling glasses.”

Folmsbee added the company is always accepting new patients and welcomes residents to stop in and see what Mid City Opticians has to offer.

The company offers reasonable prices due to their large buying possibilities. Merchandise sold at Mid City Opticians is not only affordable, but made of top quality as well.

There is currently a sale being offered for those who wear bifocals.

If a pair of HOYA Digital Progressive Lenses is purchased, a pair of sunglasses made with the same proscription can be purchase for $20. The sale will continue through the end of August.

Folmsbee and his co-owners have a real passion for the Tonawandas and the people who reside within them.

“We love this community. I was born and raised here. We have a real connection to the population of The Tonawandas,” said Folmsbee.

Mid City Opticians is open from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays for the summer months of June and July; and open late from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays.

“We have evening hours on Thursdays for convenience,” said Folmsbee.
