TONAWANDA - Beginning in 1945, the Masters Family, lead by James Masters, choose to enter into business on their own and launch a carpet cleaning business. With great success after just 10 years of providing quality service in the community, James chose to move his Youngs Street location to a more accessible area in Delaware Avenue in the mid 1950s.

More than 50 years later, his grandson, Jeff Masters has taken over running the company, Master Rug Cleaners and Carpet Sales, and continues to provide quality carpet care to The Tonawandas.

When a customer chooses to get their carpet cleaned or purchase a new one, they often encounter a company that does not have the experience that Master Rug Cleaners does. Jeff assures his customers that both he and his employees are trained in carpet care and will provide quality care when handling their products.

Jeff stands by the belief that his company provides the best carpet cleaning methods. He noted, too often he sees customers just have their carpet steamed quickly and stated that does not actually get all the dirt out.

As the first company to bring steam cleaning to Western New York in early 1970s, Jeff noted it’s not a bad method of cleaning, but it does not always get the job done.
