Owner of Blount Construction, Jim Blount, standing on a recently paved driveway in Clarence that he, and his crew, completed.
Jim Blount is a man with a larger exterior, mustache, clean head and most likely hands full of blisters.Blount is the proud, successful owner of Blount Construction. He alone built the company from the ground up with his knowledge of the industry. Blount began working in construction before he graduated from Kenmore East High School.
This year is Blount Construction’s 30th anniversary since it was created in 1982. Blount has reached close to 30 years of service by tackling one project at a time with a crew of nine. It’s a rarity that a construction company breaks three decades.
“There is nothing we won’t do. Residential concrete work, patios, driveways, steps, walkways, stamps, staining, anything that has to do with concrete,” Blount said.
All staff is employed by Blount Construction.
Blount noted, “We don’t subcontract, we do all our own work.”
Customer Tom Serafin had a few kind words about Blount Cnstruction.
“You wouldn’t even know they were here, except for the brand new concrete,” said Serafin
Serafin had his driveway replaced and a cemented place for his garbage tote. He was amazed with the completion that took only five hours. When Serafin first called Blount Construction he left a message, but within a half hour he received a call back and someone was on their way to give him an estimate.
“They were curious and they cleaned up everything,” added Serafin.
Blount is on top of it all; his motto is “be clear, be neat and get it done.”
“Most jobs are done in one day, unless it’s a big job,” said Blount.
Blount works on every project, very rarely will he be seen not working with his crew. Blount is hands on and advertises it.
If you’re looking to get some concrete work, Blount is considering bringing his spring deal to summer and taking $100 off the price of the job, if you sign by the dated time which has yet to be announced. Look out for some great savings in the near future.
