Goodrich Coffee serves fresh coffee, roasted daily.
The scent of fresh roasted coffee is like none other and at Goodrich Coffee and Tea, this is the first thing you notice when walking through the doors. This family-owned and operated coffee shop and cafe has been in business for four years, serving great coffee and more to Clarence.Owner Richard Budde laughed at the idea of 10 a.m. being early. This is because he’s up at the crack of dawn roasting fresh coffee for his customers each day.
“I have a passion for coffee,” he said.
He shows his passion through his dedication of serving a variety of freshly roasted coffee choices to his customers. Each roast takes about 12 to 15 minutes, time that many other coffee shops don’t bother to take to make their coffee taste better.
It was Budde’s father’s idea to start opening businesses like this one. In fact, right next door is another business owned by the family, Executive Cleaners.
“A coffee shop was something I thought would be a great business to get into,” said Budde. “I could see myself doing it.”
Although coffee is Budde’s specialty, Goodrich Coffee and Tea does offer several other options. The shop carries 30 different flavors of tea to choose from and also serves lattes, cappuccinos, mochas and more. You can also enjoy a fresh fruit smoothie or protein shake as well.
This is not only a great place to grab a cup of coffee, but enjoy a fresh homemade breakfast, lunch or dinner too.
For breakfast, Budde and his employees are serving up a variety of breakfast wraps, oatmeal, muffins and scones. As you may get at other drive-thru restaurants, the eggs used in these wraps are cooked fresh and are never frozen. Budde refuses to serve frozen food to his customers.
For lunch or dinner, customers can choose from several fresh sandwiches, soups and crisp salads at a great price.
With many different franchise coffee shops and cafés located in Western New York, Budde had to set his apart from the rest.
“Our quality is exceptional,” he said when explaining how his business may be a step above others.
He also added that he and his employees take the time to give great customer service.
“We try to look people in the eye and smile and really ask them how their day is going,” he said. “With some customers, we know exactly what’s going on. We stay in touch with the community.”
Goodrich Coffee and Tea opened in 2008 in Clarence. The family chose Clarence because they loved the sense of community that it had to offer.
“We like Clarence,” said Budde. “As the years go on, you get more of a sense of community and I’ve seen it now since I’ve been in business.”
This coffee shop and café is located at 9450 Main St. in Clarence. Fall and winter hours for this business are from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday and from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday.
