    Clay Moden visits day care

Local radio personality reads to children

READ FOR THE RECORD — Clay Moden surrounded by children that he read to.
Churchill Child Care Center in Boston recently celebrated Jumpstart’s “Read for the Record.” Children from all over Western New York, the United States and even the world celebrated literacy by reading, or being read, the same book on the same day.
The day of this record-breaking event, Thursday, October 8, Churchill invited Clay Moden, WYRK radio personality, to read to their daycare and preschool children. Moden read the campaign’s official book, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar: to 52 children on this day. Also, in the few days preceding the day of reading, the children participated in various art activities that were related to the book.
