Niagara Falls still number one in Metro poll
Wednesday January 26, 2011 | By:Dave Ricci, Sports Reporter

The Wolverines will face an interesting challenge on Thursday when they travel to Kenmore Westfor an NFL rematch with the second placed Blue Devils.
The Wolverines won the first time the two clubs met this season, but it was by only one point and against a young Ken-West squad that was playing only it's second game together.
Late in the game the Blue Devils could have played it safe and played for a tie, but they showed gutsand played all out. Niagara Falls has a loaded lineup with guys like Jordan Street, but again, this will be an interesting test for the NFL leaders.
The only game that over shadows this match up is the first meeting of the season between St. Joe’s and Canisius this Saturday at Canisius.
The Marauders are riding a seven-game winning streak and now own first place in the MMAA North Division.
The Crusaders are hot on their heels though.
Game has amazing potential one-on-one match ups like Steven Moser (Joe's) and Aaron Nevins (Canisius) along with Jake Spitler (Joe's) - Gordon Lyons (Canisius) and Reggie Agbeko (Joe's) against Ring Henry (Canisius).
Get there early because this is a guarantee sell out.
Williamsville South: Standing alone at the top of ECIC II earns the Billies the No. 3 spot this week.
Canisius: St. Joe's will be their biggest challenge from a WNY team since they lost to Niagara Falls on Dec. 18.
Bishop Timon: Most MMAA followers will argue over who is the best team this season, St. Joe's or Canisius, but you had better throw the Tigers into the debate, too.
Kenmore West: Building strong support cast as youngsters Quinton Campbell and Mike Wilcox showing they can handle the varsity spotlight. Campbell averaging about 13 rebounds per game.
Maryvale: Legendary coach Mark Kensy's team debuts on the METRO Top 10.
Williamsville North: Still maintaining second place in ECIC I.
Tonawanda: Wasn't at their best in Jan. 7 loss to rival Lackawanna, but showed great character by responding with three straight league wins. First place in ECIC IV.
