Polka band to be featured at Collins Library

“Music in the Library - A Concert Series” will feature a concert by polka band The Buffalo Touch on Friday, April 27 from 7 - 9 p.m. This band combines the Slovenian style polka played in Cleveland and Canada with the Polish style polka from Chicago and the East Coast. The Buffalo Touch features Polka Hall of Fame musician Mike Nowatkowski, Ken Machelski, Ray Barsukiewicz, Ricky Pijanowski, Gary Krew, Robin Pegg and Tadj.
Jerry Darlak and the Touch formed in 1995. The band has received three Grammy nominations and has been featured on “The Big Joe Polka Show.” The Buffalo Touch has traveled from coast to coast performing at clubs and festivals.
The Friends of the Collins Public Library and Collins Public Library sponsors this monthly concert series. The concerts are free and open to the public.
