Area events to commemorate Veterans Day

WESTERN NEW YORK — A Springville Community Day Veterans Day ceremony will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at Springville Veterans Park, located behind the municipal parking lot between South Buffalo and Pearl streets.
The Sardinia American Legion Post 1131 will hold its Veterans Day service on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. at 12860 West Schutt Road at the Route 39 triangle.
Collins will host a flagpole dedication ceremony honoring local veteran James Hackemer, who was killed last year. The event will be held on Monday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Collins Town Park.
