Springville-GI District schedules public hearing, sets voter registration day

The Springville-Griffith Institute Central School District Board of Education will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2012-2013 budget on Tuesday, May 8 at 7 p.m.

The hearing will be held at the high school library media center, located at 290 North Buffalo St. in Springville.

Voter registration day will take place on Thursday, May 10 from noon - 8 p.m. at the high school library media center, Colden Elementary School and Collins Center Fire Hall. A voter must register at the location where he or she is assigned to vote.

Voters must be citizens of the United States, 18 years of age or older and residents of the district for a period of 30 days prior to the election.

District residents may vote during the May 15 election without pre-registration only if they are registered to vote with the county board of elections and meet the residency requirement or have voted in any S-GI School District annual or special election held during 2008, 2009, 2010 or 2011.
