The American Red Cross will host the sixth annual “Community That Cares” blood drive on Wednesday, July 18 from noon – 7 p.m. at the Springville Volunteer Fire Hall, 405 West Main St.
A Community That Cares blood drive is a Red Cross initiative with the stated goal of engaging local citizens and boost regional blood supplies. There will be raffles and giveaways all day and donors will receive a coupon for a free carton of Friendly’s® ice cream.
The Red Cross sees a 10 – 15 percent decline in donations during the summer. Donors are invited to schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-733-2767 or by visiting redcrossblood.org.
