Glenwell residents celebrate senior prom

The dance floor was packed for Glenwell’s Senior Prom June 21.
Residents, family and staff dusted off their dance shoes and spent the evening dancing to the classics and a little rock ‘n’ roll music provided by a disc jockey.
A dinner preceding the dance included pulled pork, chicken fingers and hors d’oeuvre.
The purple and silver-themed evening, modeled after a traditional senior prom, ended with Angelo Chianta and Susan Goergen being crowned king and queen. Trudy Digati tied with Maggie D’Angelo for best dressed. Glenwell residents, Lori Myrtle and Norm Foley were named cutest couple.
“It was a chance for residents to travel back in time, to give them another senior prom, and to have a fun night overall,” said Activities Director Scott Wieser. “The turnout was great which made for close quarters on the dance floor.”
Wieser also thanked the Chlebowski family for donating several gowns for the event.
