Scout members from St. Aloysius receive emblems

In two separate celebrations, four Cub Scouts from Pack 642 and three Boy Scouts from Troop 524 were presented with religious emblems for their achievements. All of the Scouts are members of the St. Aloysius Parish.

On March 17, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, The Rev. Larry Cobel presented Wolf Cubs Liam Smith and Christopher Jozwiak the Light of Christ Emblem. Bear Cub Caleb Edbauer and Webelo 1 Robert Smith were presented the Parvuli Dei Emblem.

Cobel spoke about the importance of parental assistance and participation. Cub Scout Pack 642 is chartered by the St. Aloysius Knights of St. John.

On March 31, at a diocesan celebration held at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Buffalo, Bishop Edward Kmiec presented Life Scouts Alex Wendley, Connor Edbauer and Collin Edbauer with emblems. All three Scouts are from Troop 524.

Wendley and Connor Edbauer were awarded the Ad Altare Dei emblem. Collin Edbauer was presented the Pope Pius XII emblem. Both the Ad Altare Dei emblem and the Pope Pius XII emblem take six - eight months to complete.

Kmiec also acknowledged the Girl Scouts receiving emblems, since it was the the 100-year celebration for Girl Scouts.
