Batik artist’s work on display at SCA

SPRINGVILLE — Springville Center for the Arts’ Olmsted Gallery is currently displaying “A Passion for Color,” an exhibit of the batik work of Meagan McCrory’s.

An artist’s reception will be held on Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. as part of the Downtown Springville Fall Art Crawl. The exhibit will be on display until Nov. 4.

McCrory will host a three-session workshop Oct. 2, 9 and 16, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the SCA gallery space. Each student will create a small batik piece. There is a cost for these workshops. Interested parties may call 592-9038 to register.

The SCA gallery hours are Tuesday – Friday from noon – 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Springville Center for the Arts is located at 37 North Buffalo St. in Springville. For more information, visit www.springvillearts.org or call 592-9038.
