Batik artist’s work on display at SCA

SPRINGVILLE — Springville Center for the Arts’ Olmsted Gallery is currently displaying “A Passion for Color,” an exhibit of the batik work of Meagan McCrory’s.An artist’s reception will be held on Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. as part of the Downtown Springville Fall Art Crawl. The exhibit will be on display until Nov. 4.
McCrory will host a three-session workshop Oct. 2, 9 and 16, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the SCA gallery space. Each student will create a small batik piece. There is a cost for these workshops. Interested parties may call 592-9038 to register.
The SCA gallery hours are Tuesday – Friday from noon – 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Springville Center for the Arts is located at 37 North Buffalo St. in Springville. For more information, visit www.springvillearts.org or call 592-9038.
