The annual career day at Colden Elementary School was held on June 19 this year.

A variety of area residents visited the school to explain their jobs and businesses to the school’s fourth and fifth grade students. Administrators told the students that it is never too early for them to consider their future careers.

Presenters included Greg Culver, owner of Sliders, Vincent Nye and Jim DePasquale from the Colden Fire Department and Ambulance Squad, State Trooper Sean Pierce and his K-9 partner Dobber; Ed Gath, accelerated freefall instructor; Linda Connors, registered nurse and business owner; Mike Stefan, technology teacher and Ben Higgins, technology integrator at S-GI.
