Each year, a $125 award purchases a student’s work of art that was selected by the district’s art staff. The award also includes the purchase of a frame and name plaque. The painting becomes a part of the school district’s permanent collection that is rotated yearly throughout the district buildings until it returns to the high school, where it is permanently exhibited in the library media center.
