Springville Center for the Arts hosts summer art camp

An art camp for children from pre-kindergarten – second grade is currently being held at the Springville Center for the Arts. A total of 28 children attend two days per week.

Professional artist Jeff Freier of West Falls said he focuses on dreams and used Nik Walenda as an example.

“Everybody has imagination and should exercise it every day, he said.

DRAWING ON THE FLOOR — One student placed her project on the floor to work on it, while others look on.
“Kids are having so much fun. We have awesome artists showing their passions with the kids,” said Art Camp Coordinator Laurie Herrington.

Students Anna Galley and Carley Delaney, both of Springville, said they have been learning art and painting and have made a piece of art with 3D light pictures and have done spray painting.
