The program will include Reinhold Gliere’s “Russian Sailors’ Dance,” Modeste Mussorgsky’s “Hopak,” Gary Aubry’s string piece entitled “Affirmation” and a contemporary orchestra piece by Robert Sheldon, called “Resurgences.” The BPO concert, led by Music Director JoAnn Falletta, will begin at 8 p.m. in the main concert hall.
The BPO will be performing American composer Aaron Copland’s “Dance Symphony,” Andre Mathieu’s “Piano Concerto No. 4” and pianist Alain Lefevre and Modeste Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition.”
