Women for a Cure hold party event Sept. 14

Women for a Cure Organization will be holding a cocktail party/auction event on Sept. 14. It will be held at Lockport Town and Country Club on East Avenue. There will be a cash bar and viewing of auction items from 6 to 7 p.m. Thereafter an open bar and array of food and music from 7 to 9 p.m.
Since its inception in 2005, the group has been committed to providing funds for research and support to eradicate cancer. It has raised and donated in excess of $106,000 for cancer and cancer related services.
The group has been able to donate monies to the American Cancer Society — WNY affiliate, Carly’s Club, Gilda’s Club of WNY, Hope Lodge, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society — WNY, Niagara Hospice, Rally for The Cure, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation WNY and The Steven Piver Fund.
The cost of this event is $50 per person. If interested in attending you can send a check to Women for a Cure, c/o 5627 Hidden Lake Drive, Lockport, N.Y. 14094. Donations in memory of or in honor of a loved one will be acknowledged at the event.
This event will certainly be a memorable one with good food, music, fabulous Chinese and silent auction items and wonderful people who all share a desire to find a cure.
