Many projects to appear before Hamburg Planning Board on Feb. 6

The Town of Hamburg Planning Board will be hearing about six new projects at their work session at 6:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

On the agenda will be: Stephen Day (5781 Old Lakeshore Road) who is requesting preliminary approval of a two-lot subdivision; the Erie County Agricultural Society (5600 McKinley Parkway) is requesting site plan approval of a new 52,133-square-feet Agricultural Discovery Building. Three smaller buildings will be demolished to make room for the new building, including the AgSperience building, the milking barn and a dairy barn; DDR Corporation (McKinley Mall outparcel) is requesting site plan approval of a 35,000 -square-feet. LA Fitness building, which includes the demolition of two existing building totaling 49,282-square-feet; Suburban Adult Services, Inc. (vacant land west of 3054 Abbott Road) is requesting site plan approval of a 12-unit apartment building (second phase of construction); Gullo’s Garden Center (4767 Southwestern Boulevard) is requesting site plan approval of additions to existing greenhouses and A Pretty Sweet Deal, Inc. (3701 McKinley Parkway) is requesting site plan approval of an outdoor market place.

Following the work session, will be the regular meeting, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., with a public hearing for DATO Development, requesting Planning Board approval of an amended Site Plan for the Oakwood Apartment project that includes garages (north side of Lake Avenue, east of South Park Avenue)

The other item scheduled for the meeting is further discussion on the Pleasant Development, LLC.

The project owners are requesting rezoning of 88.86 acres of vacant land from R-A to R-3 in order to construct a mixed use residential development.

Both the work session and the regular meeting are open to the public and is held in the basement, in Room 7B of Hamburg Town Hall, 6100 South Park Ave.
