Source is seeking a freelance writer

TONAWANDA/KENMORE - The Source is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a freelance writing position for the Kenmore Source and City of Tonawanda Source editions.
The candidate should be familiar with AP Style; be able to work flexible hours; be dependable; self sufficient and willing to work with others in the community to provide the best coverage possible for residents.
A background in writing is helpful for this position.
The position includes submitting three to six bylines per week in a timely fashion. The candidate will be responsible for covering local town/city/school meetings on a weekly or bi-weekly basis; attending community events and providing coverage to those events; as well as providing coverage to daily and/or weekly occurrence that arise within the community - this includes providing immediate coverage to a situation when needed.
