Groundhog Day craft fair to be held

The Erie Canal Discovery Center is pleased to help shake off the wintertime blues with a great craft fair entitled, “Groundhog Day: Get Ready for Spring.”

Shadow or no shadow, those tired of the winter weather and looking for something to do, come on out on Groundhog Day and browse for the perfect item to get you primed for that spring weather waiting just around the corner.

The craft fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 2, at the Erie Canal Discovery Center, 24 Church St., Lockport.

There is no admission charge to shop.

While you’re there check out everything the Erie Canal Discovery Center and Penney Gallery have to offer. And don’t forget to visit the “Lock, Stock and Barrel” Gift Shop on site where you will find a great selection of local items, including a wide assortment of books by regional authors, perfect for snuggling up with a cup of hot cocoa when you get home from the fair.

For more information about events at all of the Niagara County History Center’s locations visit niagarahistory.org or stop in and pick up a schedule at 215 Niagara St., Lockport.

The fair is sponsored in part by the Niagara Art Trail.

Vendors wishing to display their goods should contact Jay Krull at 609-0433 for information.

Space is limited so call soon.
