Jessica Ashby is a 31 year old mother of two from Western New York who is currently battling Breast Cancer. Jessica grew up in Niagara Falls and was able to earn a Bachelor's degree in Social Work while raising her children, and she has been giving back to her community and helping those in need by working in the social services field for the past 9 years. Jessica always wanted better for her children, encouraging them to follow their dreams and teaching them that anything can be accomplished through hard work and determination. In July, Jessica received the devastating news that she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and she also learned that major surgery and chemotherapy are required as part of her treatment plan. Jessica's family and friends are reaching out to the Western New York community to help raise money for and alleviate some of her current and upcoming medical expenses. A benefit is scheduled for October 7, 2012 from 12 - 6pm at the Elks Lodge #346, 1805 Fashion Outlet Boulevard, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. $25 includes food, beer, soda, and a door prize ticket. $5 for children (12 & under) includes food and soda. The benefit will also include a Chinese Auction, 50/50 raffle, bake sale, live music by the Mombrea Bros., and airing of the Buffalo Bills game.
