Children ages 7 through 12 are invited to celebrate Presidents’ Day at the History Center of Niagara County from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 18.
This year’s program will highlight the similarities and differences between the two men who were President during the Civil War years — Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis.
Through stories, skits, games and hands-on activities children will learn about these two leaders and their families and how they influenced the Union and the Confederacy during their tenure as President. A noontime snack will also be served to the children.
The cost of the program is $10 per child. Reservations are required. Parents are encouraged to leave their children for the duration of the program.
Call or email the History Center at 434-7433 or history11@verizon.net for reservations and more information.
Minimum of 10 children are required for the program to take place.
