LANCASTER- The McGuire Group’s Harris Hill Nursing Facility has recognized veteran Vincent Werdein for his service during World War II. He was born on March 9, 1927 in Buffalo and served with the Marine Corp stationed in China.

“You gain more respect for your country being in the service,” he stated. “Being in the service teaches you to look out for yourself.”

He married his wife Mary in 1981 and has five children, three daughters and two sons. He also has one grandson and one granddaughter. Werdein became a resident at Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Lancaster in March of 2011. He enjoys gardening and spending time with his wife.

Harris Hill Nursing Facility provides 24-hour skilled nursing care, post-hospital and outpatient rehabilitation, specialized memory care and respite/short-term care. For more information, visit www.mcguiregroup.com.
