NORTH TONAWANDA - During the Tuesday, Sept. 25 North Tonawanda Workshop meeting, Patty Brosius, executive director of the North Tonawanda Youth, Recreation and Parks asked the council to approve the use of funds intended for repairs on the golf cart path.
The project, which will use the full allotted amount of $40,000, will repair imperfections to the already existing path.
The funds, which were set aside in last years city budget, will repair a large portions of cracks and imperfections on the path. It will not widen or lengthen the path.
It is expected that with the low bid of $30.53 per square foot, the project will be awarded to Northeast Diversifications, Inc., of Lancaster, during the upcoming North Tonawanda Common Council meeting to be held Tuesday, Oct. 2.
The project will begin in November in order to have the repairs completed for the start of the next golf season.
“Patty believes that by doing this project now, we are getting a better price,” said Council President Rich Andres.
