Bowmansville Firefighters keep busy during October

LANCASTER- During the month October, members of the Bowmansville Volunteer Fire Association (BVFA) answered 76 calls for assistance. Additionally, BVFA conducted dozens of Fire Prevention Demonstrations in conjunction with National Fire Prevention Month, along with participating in numerous civic functions as well.
BVFA members have answered 612 alarms during the first 10 months of 2012, totaling more than 5,400 man hours in doing so. BVFA has also conducted more than 6,200 hours of training, along with providing more than 8,900 hours of service in community oriented events in Lancaster.
