Lockport YMCA fitness registration now open

Registration is now open for Lockport Family YMCA fitness classes. The fall session will run from Sept. 10 through Oct. 27. The Lockport Family YMCA has a variety of classes for the whole family, and offer a variety of aerobics classes. All classes are family friendly and welcome children ages 12 and up.
Jeannine Mullet will hold Early morning abs at 6 a.m. Monday and Wednesday and also offers a variety of Step and Cardio Fitness classes Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings, Body Sculpting Mondays at 6 p.m., and Powerhouse aerobics Tuesday and Thursday 4:30 p.m. Kickboxing class with Janice will be held Mondays at 7 p.m. Boot Camp with Rachelle will be offered Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings at 10 a.m. and Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m.
Zumba classes are led by Amanda and return on Thursdays from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. New this Fall on Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m is Zumbatonics for youth 6 to 16 years. It’s never too early to learn good habits, bring the whole family and start the habits of working out and making healthy choices.
Friday nights, forget the fish fry and join the party. They will be hosting a Family Zumba Dance Party once a month from 7 to 8 p.m. starting on Sept. 7. This is a chance for the whole family, or a group of friends to learn some new steps and dance the night away. Free for Y members, $5 for an individual and $10 a family.
Yoga classes led by Christine Derby-Cuadrado will be returning to Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The Active Older Adults program meets Tuesday and Thursday in the fitness center and is a great way to get in shape and meet new friends.
