Volley for Life held at Wilson

The 19th annual Volley for Life tournament was held at Wilson High School Nov. 17.

Eight teams took part in the contest and 48 players participated.

Each team of six was required to have one adult member, and the tournament is provided to offer a healthy and constructive activity for students to take part in.

Coordinators Jackie Benton and Amy Seeley wish to offer their thanks to all that made the tournament a success, including Dan Johnson, Sandy Walch, Bonnie Webb, Jaime Lepsch and the JV Volleyball team, who acted as scorekeepers.

All teams were required to pay an entrance fee, which will be used for programming sponsored by the group SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions).

Each team also brought in canned food items, which will be donated to the local food pantry.
