Abuse charges given to East Otto man on May 1

After an investigation performed by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s office Criminal Investigation Bureau arrested Harold R. Snay, 65, of East Otto. The arrest took place on May 1.
Snay was charged with sexual abuse in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
The investigation revealed that during the week of Aug. 22, 2011, the defendant had sexual contact with a 10-year-old female on one occasion.
The defendant was served an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Otto Court.
