Relativity and chicken on the canal

The Erie Canal Discovery Center, 24 Church St., Lockport is sponsoring a free, live music concert titled, “Relativity” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 27.
The Discovery Center is celebrating the 187th anniversary of the opening of the Erie Canal and the community is invited to visit the center without cost throughout the day.
Featured musical sets will include some great pickin’, pluckin’ ‘n strummin’ by:
• David Stanton and Jean Dickson.
• The Masters Brothers – Tom, Jim and Les “Bear” Masters.
• Creative Spirit-John and Carol Ralicki.
• The Heenan Brothers-Rick and Cory Heenan and Rick Bauer.
The Erie Canal Discovery Center is also sponsoring a Krolick’s Chicken BBQ — dine in or take out — from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or when sold out.
The meal includes a half chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, roll and butter. Tickets are $9.50 presale and $10 on the day of the event.
Entries in the Erie Canal Student Art Contest will be on display and live music will be featured throughout the day beginning at 11 a.m.
