Spirit of Sharing dinner a success

The Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce and the Intercouncil of Organizations co-sponsored the Spirit of Sharing Dinner on Monday, Dec. 3 at the Cheektowaga Senior Center.

The Spirit of Sharing Dinner is an annual event for residents of local skilled nursing facilities. “The Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce and the Intercouncil of Organizations through the hard work of Diane Koczon has hosted the Spirit of Sharing Dinner for more than 30 years”, said Debra S. Liegl, President and CEO of the Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce.

The Spirit of Sharing Dinner included a holiday meal, a visit from Santa Claus, Christmas carols by the Cheektowaga Community Chorus, favors and gift bags for each of the special guests. “We were able to provide a festive evening for our guests because of the generosity of the Cheektowaga community. We asked our members and members of the Intercouncil of Organizations for sponsorships for the dinner”, said Liegl.

The response has been very positive according to Liegl. “We have been so fortunate that through the generosity of others, we were able to host this dinner for our special guests, celebrate the spirit of the holiday season with them and brighten their spirits,” said Liegl.
