Beadwork classes return at Niagara County History Center

Niagara County History Center announced its Tuscarora Beadwork Class schedule featuring award-winning Tuscarora beadwork artist Rosemary Hill, who will be helping the students make beautiful beadwork necklaces.

Hill is well known throughout the region and has been recognized internationally for her beadwork.

Some of her work is exhibited in museums around the world including the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. and the Albert and Victoria British Museum in London, England.

Students will be making a one-of-a-kind necklace with individual choices of coloring and materials.

Classes for the necklace project will be held on Oct. 22 and 29 and Nov. 1 and 5. All classes are held from 4 to 6 p.m.

The fee for this for class series is $80 plus cost of supplies — a list will be provided.

Participants are encouraged to sign-up early as class space is limited and classes will fill-up quickly.

For more information, or to make a reservation, call the History Center at 434-7433.
