Pendleton donates for the holidays

On Nov. 17, at the annual Boy Scout food drive Pendleton Boy Scouts troops 47 and 98 sparked an outpouring of support from community and organizations.

Donations were collected from residents and organizations and their members to be presented to the Pendleton food pantry Saturday, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ on Tonawanda Creek Road.

Along with the Boy Scouts, Kid Farms donated bushels of fresh food to the Pendleton Food Pantry

The Lions Club Members chipped in to donate numerous turkeys making sure that everyone had a Thanksgiving turkey.

All of the food delivered was overwhelming and overfilled the pantry’s refrigerator, freezers and shelves.

The Thanksgiving meals were distributed to needy families Nov. 21. The event was a complete success.
