Legislator Mills to discuss Erie County issues at meetings
Beginning one-half hour before the scheduled meeting, Minority Leader Mills will be available to meet with residents and answer any questions they may have; he will also stay for the duration of the meeting to talk with residents after adjournment. Among the topics Minority Leader Mills plans to discuss are infrastructure repairs and county finances.
Legislator Mills next two outreach meetings are scheduled on the following days:
• 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7 at the Village of North Collins Meeting
• 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 at the Village of Gowanda Meeting
Minority Leader Mills, along with his colleagues in the Minority Caucus, closed District Offices in 2010, saving taxpayers thousands of dollars annually. Through outreach programs, the Legislators are much more accessible, meeting at times and locations that are convenient for constituents.
In addition to being the largest district in square mileage, Minority Leader Mills also represents the most residents and his district includes 15 municipalities, which makes it all the more important that Outreach Programs are scheduled, giving residents an opportunity to discuss county issues without traveling great distances.
Throughout the year, Minority Leader Mills will be available to meet with residents at town and village board meetings. He is also available to meet individually with residents at a time and location convenient for them.
