Niagara County Fair 2012 Classic Car Show results

The 14th annual Classic Car Show held during the Niagara County Fair, was sponsored by Niagara County’s Federal Credit Union, and held on Aug. 5. The entries represented cars dated from pre 1942 to 2012. All the cars entered were judged.
The following participants were awarded first place trophies:
• Best of Stock –1962 T-Bird, Pat Artieri of Lockport.
• Best of Modified – 1968 Roadrunner, Mark Farina of Lockport.
• Best Paint – 1971 Buick Skylark, Bruce Lutgen of Elma.
• Best Muscle Car – 1968 Chevy Pickup, Ed Doran of Medina.
• Best Convertible – 1962Chevy Vet, John Orefice of Niagara Falls.
Stock:
• Production Pre 1942 – 1939 Buick Special, Lyn Artieri of Lockport and 1927 Ford T Roadster, John Stauder of Lockport.
• Production 1946 to 1960 – 1953 Willys M38A1, James Bergquist of Akron.
• Production 1971 to 1989 – 1975 Chevy Camaro, John Elmore of Kenmore.
• Muscle Cars 1964 to 1969 – 1967 Chevy Camaro, Gary Schneegold of Amherst.
• Stock Corvettes – 1972 Chevy Corvette, Jim Wiltberger of Lockport.
• Stock Trucks – 1952 Chevy Pick-up, Bob Cadorette of Niagara Falls.
• Stock Foreign – 1972 Honda N600, Matt & Joseph Hufnagel of Lockport.
Modified:
• Street Rods to 1934 – 1929 Ford 2 Door Sedan Del, Joe Zellner.
• Street Rods 1935 to 1949 – 1947 Chevy Stylemaster, Rich Oestreich of Lockport.
• Modified 1966 to 1975 – 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS, Ron & Dana Figura of Wilson and 1972 Pontiac Ventura II “Sprint”, Mike McDonald of Akron.
• Modified 1976 to 1990 – 1979 Chevrolet Camaro, Earl S. of Los Vegas.
• Modified Customs ALL – 1983 Chevy S-10 P/V, George Bedore of Niagara Falls.
• Modified Trucks – 2004 Ford Explorer Sport-trac, R & K Baumgarther of West Seneca.
• Modified Corvette – 2001 Corvette Coupe, Philip & Laura Papierz of Niagara Falls.
Other (all years):
• Unfinished (all years) – 1968 Pontiac Tempest, Keith & Tami of North Tonawanda.
• Special Interest/Kit Cars (all years) – 1967 Tijuana Taxi, Keith Licht of North Tonawanda and 1988 Chevrolet Caprice – Patrol Car, Niagara Coounty Sheriff’s Office.
Coordinator of this years’ event is Karen Krysa of Lockport. Volunteers assisting were Karen Stelmaszyk of Cheektowaga and Keith Licht of North Tonawanda. Music by: Jukebox Tonight.
