Niagara County 4-H’ers invite area youth, ages 4 to 11 years old, to participate in the Little Britches Showmanship exhibition on Sunday, Aug. 5, at the Niagara County Fair.
Young children can come and handle a calf in the show ring.
No experience needed, just enthusiasm to try something new. These young children are invited to help prepare and show dairy calves.
Besides sharing their calf, 4-H dairy members will demonstrate and assist the children.
The children will then be allowed to borrow the calves to take into the show ring.
After a short walk around the show ring and an interview, all young showmen will receive participant rosettes.
There is no entry fee. Moms and dads, brothers, sisters, grandmas and grandpas, aunts, uncles and friends are encouraged to bring their cameras.
