Daughters of 1812 to hold state council

LOCKPORT - The State of New York Society of the Daughters of 1812 will be holding its 118th annual state council on May 3 and 4 at the Lockport Town and Country Club, Lockport.

The special guest of honor will be Virginia Louise Apyar, president of the National Society of the United States Daughters of 1812.

Guests are welcome to attend a 6 p.m. dinner on Friday evening. This dinner costs $23 per person and includes the choice of an 8 oz. NY strip steak or broiled haddock with lemon butter sauce. The speaker this evening will be Lee Simonson, author of “Tuscarora Heroes.”
