A lifetime achiever is one who gives and seldom asks for anything in return. This aptly describe Richard K. Milewicz, which is why he is the recipient of the Lifetime Achiever Award.

Milewicz and his wife Fran were married in August of 1966 and have two children, Richard II and Darbi Bykowicz.

They are also blessed with three granddaughters and three grandsons with another on the way.

Milewicz graduate from the University of New York at Buffalo in 1966 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He began his accounting career after serving as First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

After several years in public accounting, he tried his hand in Erie County government, working as Deputy County Comptroller-Audit for Alfreda Slominski from 1986 to 1987.

In January, 1988, Milewicz opened his accounting office in the Town of Clarence, which is currently located at 8975 Main St., Clarence.

He has always taken an active part of any community to which he belongs. He has and continues to give to his time, knowledge and resources to help various organization and causes to reach their goals.

He is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the New York State Society of CPA’s.

He has served as president of the Cheektowaga Jaycees, the Clarence Rotary Club and the Professional Businessmen’s Association where, in 2010, he was named their “Man of the Year.”

Milewicz has served as a director of the Clarence Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as treasurer of the Clarence-Newstead Meals on Wheels Task Force and advisor to the Clarence Rotary Club Foundation, Inc.

Never enjoying the spotlight or wanting to be the center of attention, Milewicz is often the man behind the scenes, organizing and taking care of any task that needs doing.

His dedication, discipline, integrity and work ethic are well known in the community as he is always willing to help when called upon.

Now, it is time to call upon him to be honored as the 2013 Lifetime Achiever.
