19th annual Penguin Run on Jan. 27 will benefit Cradle Beach

The 19th annual Penguin Run to benefit Cradle Beach is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 27. The 5K run, sanctioned by USATF, will be headquartered at the Classicís V Banquet Center, located at 2425 Niagara Falls Boulevard, Amherst.

The race is held each year on the Sunday that falls between the AFC and NFC Championship games and the Superbowl. The race takes place show or shine and will begin promptly at 11 a.m., with runners and walkers hitting the pavement on Niagara Falls Boulevard and the streets of the Willow Ridge Community.

Participants can pre-register by logging onto www.cradlebeach.org. The cost is $30 to pre-register. The day of registration fee is $35 per person and includes entrance into the race, a race T-shirt and a post party.

Major sponsors include SEFCU, Geico, Pallet Services, Caplugs and Classicís V Banquet Hall.
