GROOMS, Elizabeth A., 68, of Watertown passed away Aug. 23, 2012 in the intensive care unit of the Samaritan Medical Center.
Elizabeth was both in North Tonawanda Jan. 31, 1944, the daughter of Casimer and Mathilda Niemiec Sadlocka.
She graduated from North Tonawanda High School. Elizabeth married Bernard L. Grooms Sept. 4, 1965. The couple moved to Watertown in 1983 following Bernard’s retirement from the United States Air Force.
Grooms was a member of the North Tonawanda AM-VETS Women’s Drill Team and the North Tonawanda Rescue Fire Company.
She enjoyed spending summers with her family at their cottage on White Lake in Ontario. She was an avid collector to include Elvis memorabilia, tea pots and enjoyed cooking and crafts. She was a very caring and giving person and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard; children, Lisa (Scott) Wackernagel of Watertown, Kimberly (James) Phillips of Adams Center and Casey Grooms of Redwood City, Calif.; five grandchildren, Jared, Justin and Joshua Wackernagel and Jamee and Kady Phillips; sisters, Janice (Arthur) Sadlocka-Tichawa, of Godfrey Ontario, Cassandra (Charles) Todaro of North Tonawanda; brother, Donald Sadlocka of North Tonawanda; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; two aunts; and one uncle.
She was predeceased by her parents; and brother, Paul Sadlocka.

STRUZIK, Mary W. (nee Stachowiak), of North Tonawanda, passed away Sunday, Sept. 16; beloved wife of the late Michael P. Struzik; dearest mother of Michael and Robert (Erin M. Lillis) Struzik, Janet (Raymond) Heider and Jerry (Cheryl) Struzik; grandmother of Alexandra, Jessica (Aaron), Amber (Ben), Taylor, Dana and Paige; sister of Theodore and Dorothy Stachowiak.

MOLL, Doris Sue (nee Snyder), 54, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Monday, Sept. 17. Beloved wife of James A. Moll. Precious daughter of Doris F. (Steninger) Snyder and the late James W. Snyder. Cherished sister of Tammy (Michael) Godyn and Shelley (Michael) Wojciechowski. Adored aunt of Janice Lynn Wojciechowski, James Michael Godyn, and Bethany Sue Wojciechowski. Also, ‘adopted sister’ of Brian Markovich and dearest friend of Sherrie Mitchell.
Sue was employed by the North Tonawanda Board of Education. She was a member of the American Legion Tonawanda Post 264 Women’s Auxiliary. Sue attended services at Generation Church and The Fair Havens Church in North Tonawanda. She enjoyed crafts, especially crocheting, and loved animals. Most importantly – Sue was a faithful, loving Christian, spending many hours in prayer for her family and friends, community and those in need.
A celebration of her life will be held at Generation Church, 1001 East Robinson St., North Tonawanda, on Friday at 11 A.M., the Rev. Jeff Vogt and the Rev. Sandi Sterner will officiate, interment in Acacia Park Cemetery. SULLIVAN, Therese M. “Terry” (nee Wingerter), 88, of North Tonawanda, passed away Monday, Sept. 17; beloved wife of the late Jack Sullivan; devoted mother of Kathryn (Thomas) Kozik, Patricia (John) Lasky, Dennis Sullivan, Bridget (Mark) LiPuma and the late Timothy Sullivan; loving grandmother of Timothy (Danielle) Kozik, Lauren (Rob) Utz, Jordan, Jenna and Kelsey Sullivan; great-grandmother of Alexis Hedley; dear sister of Sr. Mary Arthur Wingerter OSF, Rita Smith, Bernadette Wingerter and the late Robert, Elmer, Arthur Wingerter, Jean Elbers and Dolores Cobb; sister-in-law of Jean Traynor; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
