Youth center to host veteran breakfast

The North Tonawanda Department of Youth, Recreation and Parks invites the Veterans Council to a special program to be held Veterans Day, Nov. 12.
This year’s Veteran’s Breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. Nov. 12 at the North Tonawanda Senior Center, 110 Goundry St., North Tonawanda. The breakfast, which will be prepared and served by participants of the Youth Center, is free to veterans.
There will be a $5 fee for guests that is payable at the door. Pre-registration is required by calling 695-8520 by Friday, Nov. 2.
“We feel this program not only recognizes your contributions to our country, but we honor your bravery, an we pay tribute to your unselfish sense of duty. Our youth need to see the duty you fulfilled, challenges met and sacrifices made by the many honorable, generous and courages American servicemen and women who gave their time and effort, their limbs and lives to sustain our principles and preserve our freedom,” said Recreation and Senior Citizens Coordinator Pam Hogan. “We would like to extend an invitation to every veteran in the Tonawanda’s to participate in this program.”
