Strider-Glider Quarter Marathon to be held Oct. 27

LANCASTER- The Strider-Glider Quarter Marathon, presented by The Lancaster Striders, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. The inaugural Strider-Glider Quarter Marathon which starts and finishes at Westwood Park in Lancaster, is a great opportunity to run a fast race on this mostly flat and fast - scenic course this fall. The course incorporates 2.3 miles of the Lancaster Heritage Trail and will include two water stops.
On-line registration available at www.active.com. Registration: $20 US postmarked through Oct. 24, $25 through day of race. Lancaster Striders and Checkers AC Members, $18 pre-registered through October 24, 2012 only. Packet pick up and day of race registration starting at 7 a.m. at the main shelter at Westwood Park.
Post Race Party at Westwood Park main shelter located near the start/finish line featuring food, soft drinks, beer, basket raffles and awards ceremony.
Overall male/female and Master male/female will receive special awards. Awards will go three deep in male and female five-year age groups to age 85 plus. Results provided by Tempus Fugit Timing.
Proceeds to benefit Trinity Food Pantry serving the greater Lancaster community.
Race premium to first 300 registrants.
