Police seize 27 firearms after domestic incident

LANCASTER- On Thursday, Dec. 20, the Lancaster Police Department investigated a report of a domestic stabbing involving a husband and wife.

Officers arrived at the residence and were met by Richard R. Brant who claimed he had not been stabbed and that his wife was at a neighbor’s residence. Officers interviews Mrs. Brant who reported that she had stabbed her husband as he was choking her in their bedroom during the domestic argument.

Brant was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. He was treated at ECMC and released to the custody of the Lancaster Police Department. Police found 27 firearms inside the residence, which were seized by police.
