Lockport Elks gives to Altamont House

Lockport Elks Lodge No. 41, led by their Veterans Chair Ken Gutowski, showed their Christmas spirit while making a special visit to residents of Altamont House with personalized Christmas gifts along with refreshments and dinner.

The Elks Motto “so long as there are Veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them” is lived up to at every turn with Lockport Elks Lodge.

Altamont House is a half-way house located in Buffalo with its purpose serving those Veterans coming out of VA Drug and Alcohol Abuse Programs or simply just getting on their feet after difficult times, there are 37 residents from throughout WNY.

Elks in attendance include Exalted Ruler Bob Haseley, Chair Ken and wife Kim Gutowski, Tim and Jane Logan and Fred Kanehl.

The Lodge is trying to financially assist Altamont House with a needed kitchen remodeling.
