Meditation program to take place at Schofield Adult Wellness Center

TONAWANDA - Presentation on beginning meditation will take place from 9:30 to 1 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 at the Schofield Adult Wellness Center. Oral health considerations for 50 and older is set for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12. The center is located at the Schofield Residence Nursing Facility, 3333 Elmwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.

Kandy Svec will discuss the benefits and practice of meditation and lead a guided meditation session.

Michael Perry, DDS, from Western New York Dental Group will discuss how health changes related to aging including diseases, healing capacity, functional capacity and medication affect your oral health. He will also talk about the routine methods and recommendations for preventing oral health problems and discuss tooth restoration, including sharing information on implants, dentures, tooth replacement and other cosmetic procedures.
